Facebook is Virtual Breeding Ground for Babyshere Clients
Washington DC – March 18, 2008 – While Mark Zuckerberg may be the only Facebook billionaire, quite a few companies are finding it as a great source to reach new customers. Of the 30 million users (that number is still growing), more and more businesses are realizing that Facebook is a great marketing tool for their brands.
Babyshere, Inc., a web-based retail company that creates unique customized birth announcements, uses Facebook to connect with expecting mothers. The company even created an application that allows pregnant Facebook users to show off their due date on their profile page. Since last summer, Babyshere has gained 340 fans on the site.
The company also links to its Facebook profile on its website, www.babyshere.com. “With the saying being true that pregnant women know pregnant women, we find a good number of people getting to our Facebook page and our site that way,” stated Scott Hall, owner of Babyshere, Inc, “It’s a great way to introduce our product to a new audience.”
Hall says approximately 10% of Babyshere sales come from Facebook.
